目的

In an effort to increase the ability of students to reach their educational goals, the College has established academic milestones to monitor the continuum of progression 对毕业.

政策

To graduate from the College, a student must fulfill all degree or certificate requirements  earn a cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.0或更高.  Acceptable progression 对毕业 includes maintaining a cumulative GPA as outlined in the Academic 进展表.

A student who earned a semester GPA less than 2.0 or who received an F, XF or NP grade in college-level courses or a D, F, XF or NP grade in developmental courses will be issued an 学术警告 unless he/she falls into a不her category as outlined in the Academic 进展表.

A student who has attempted 12 credits or more will be placed on 留校察看 if the cumulative GPA falls within the range as outlined in the Academic Progress Table.  

The College will issue 学术悬挂 to a student who has attempted 24 cumulative credits or more 和 meets the following: has semester GPA less than 2.0; has been on 留校察看 for at least three semesters since entering the College; 和 has a cumulative GPA within the range as outlined in the Academic 进展表.

过程

  1. 一个学生 acceptable progression 不 require further action.
    1. 一个学生 acceptable progression may petition the Associate Vice President of 学术事务 to register for 超过 18 credits in a semester or 超过 7 credits in a session.  批准  automatic but instead contingent upon the assessed capability of the student to succeed.  
    2. 赞誉
      1. 优秀学生名单:The College recognizes the academic achievement of full-time students who have earned 12 or more cumulative credits.  To receive Dean’s List status the full-time student must have earned a GPA of 3.5 or above in the most recently completed semester, completed 12 or more credits 和 have 不 earned any F, NP or I grades or have been placed on 学术警告 for that semester. 
      2. Dean’s Commendation List: The College recognizes the academic achievement of part-time students who have earned 12 or more cumulative credits. To receive Dean’s Commendation List status the part-time student must have earned a GPA of 3.5 or above in the most recently completed semester, completed 3 to 11 credits 和 have 不 earned any F, NP or I grades or have been placed on 学术警告 for that semester.
      3. 毕业的荣誉: To graduate from the College with an Honors distinction, an associate degree student must have earned a cumulative GPA of:
        • 3.25 to 3.优等生49分
        • 3.50 to 3.74 for Magna Cum Laude
        • 3.75 to 4.00 for Summa Cum Laude
      4. 学生 who were issued an XF grade at any point during their academic career at 学院是 ineligible for accolades.
  2. A student who receives an 学术警告 must complete the recommended student success requirements as indicated by the Student Success Center in order to register.
  3.  A student who is placed on 留校察看 may register for no 超过 12 credits in a semester or 3 credits in a session after meeting with an advisor or counselor to develop a course schedule, making adjustments as necessary. The student will also be required to complete other student success requirements as indicated.
  4. The College may readmit an 学术悬挂 student after, at minimum, a one-semester enrollment stop-out if the student first meets with a counselor to create an academic 为成功做计划. NOTE: Summer I 和 Summer II sessions combined equate to one semester. Second, the student must 提交 a written request to the Associate Vice President of 学术事务 detailing the past academic challenges 和 current academic plan for success 和 then attend a meeting with the Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs to discuss the plan. The student may be permitted to enroll in no 超过 6 credits for the ensuing semester or 3 credits for the ensuing session as well as meet other student success reentry requirements as indicated.
